Alan Elangovan is a seasoned master trainer, behavioural analyst, and curriculum strategist with over three decades of professional experience across the civil service, defence, and corporate training sectors. His career includes 20 years with Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs and 7 years with the Singapore Armed Forces, where he was extensively involved in strengthening operational capabilities through specialised training in criminal behaviour analysis, investigation techniques, interviewing and interrogation, and security questioning. His work has consistently focused on developing sound judgement, ethical decision-making, and field-ready competencies among officers.

As the founder and lead trainer of LPS Academy, Alan has personally trained more than 125,000 officers from public and private sector organisations, both locally and internationally. He is widely recognised for his structured, discipline-driven approach to training, combining behavioural science, legal frameworks, and real-world case application. An author of five books and a regular international speaker, Alan continues to design high-impact, outcome-oriented training programmes that enhance professional confidence, investigative effectiveness, and organisational performance across diverse operational environments.
