Defines the expected behavior, responsibilities, and professional standards for participants during both classroom-based and virtual online training sessions.
Last Updated: 30th Jan 2026
- Purpose and Scope of the Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct establishes clear behavioural, ethical, and professional standards for all participants attending LPS Academy classroom training and virtual online training programmes. Its purpose is to ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and effective learning environment where all learners, trainers, facilitators, administrators, and guests can engage productively. This Code applies to all individuals participating in LPS Academy programmes, including learners, corporate or agency representatives, sponsored participants, trainers, guest speakers, observers, and administrators, regardless of training mode.
- Professional Behaviour and Mutual Respect
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner that reflects respect for others’ dignity, opinions, cultural backgrounds, and professional roles. Discriminatory behaviour, harassment, intimidation, bullying, or disrespectful language—whether verbal, written, or non-verbal—is strictly prohibited. Participants must engage in discussions constructively, listen actively, and contribute in a manner that supports learning rather than disrupts it. Differences in views are to be addressed respectfully and professionally.
- Attendance, Punctuality, and Active Participation
Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions punctually, whether in a physical classroom or virtual environment. Late arrivals, early departures, or absences should be communicated in advance to the trainer or programme administrator where possible. Active participation is encouraged, including involvement in discussions, exercises, simulations, and group work. Participants must not engage in unrelated activities during sessions that detract from learning, such as personal calls, non-training-related work, or repeated distractions.
- Classroom Conduct and Physical Learning Environment
In classroom training, participants must respect the physical learning environment by maintaining cleanliness, observing venue rules, and following safety instructions. Mobile devices should be silenced or used only for learning-related purposes unless permitted otherwise. Recording of sessions, photography, or audio capture is strictly prohibited unless explicit written permission is granted by LPS Academy. Participants must comply with all instructions issued by trainers or venue representatives, including emergency procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Virtual Training Conduct and Online Etiquette
For virtual or online training, participants are expected to join sessions using appropriate display names that clearly identify them. Video participation may be required for engagement and verification purposes, subject to trainer instruction. Microphones should be muted when not speaking to avoid disruption. Chat functions must be used professionally and strictly for training-related communication. Participants must not share meeting links, access credentials, or session recordings with unauthorised individuals. Any attempt to disrupt online sessions through inappropriate behaviour, spamming, or technical interference is prohibited.
- Respect for Trainers, Facilitators, and Learning Authority
Trainers and facilitators are responsible for guiding learning, maintaining discipline, and ensuring course objectives are met. Participants must follow trainer instructions, respect facilitation decisions, and comply with assessment or activity requirements. Challenges or disagreements should be raised respectfully through appropriate channels. Undermining trainer authority, disruptive questioning, or confrontational behaviour is not acceptable.
- Academic Integrity and Ethical Participation
Participants are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, impersonation, cheating during assessments, falsification of attendance, or submission of another person’s work as one’s own is strictly prohibited. Participants must complete assessments honestly and independently unless group work is explicitly assigned. Any breach of academic integrity may result in disqualification, non-issuance of certificates, or removal from the programme.
- Confidentiality and Sensitive Information
Training programmes may involve case studies, discussions, or examples that include sensitive, confidential, or operational information. Participants must not disclose, record, reproduce, or share such information outside the training environment. This obligation applies during and after the programme. Any materials marked confidential or discussed under confidentiality conditions must be handled responsibly and ethically.
- Use of Training Materials and Intellectual Property
All training materials provided by LPS Academy, including slides, handouts, videos, exercises, and digital resources, are protected by intellectual property laws. Participants may use materials solely for personal learning purposes and must not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use them for commercial or instructional purposes without written permission. Recording or copying training content without authorisation constitutes a serious breach of this Code.
- Health, Safety, and Well-Being
Participants must comply with all health, safety, and well-being guidelines applicable to classroom venues or virtual environments. Any behaviour that endangers oneself or others is strictly prohibited. In classroom settings, participants must follow safety instructions, emergency procedures, and public health advisories. In virtual settings, participants should ensure they participate from a safe, private, and appropriate environment that supports learning professionalism.
- Use of Technology, Devices, and Learning Platforms
Technology provided or required for training must be used responsibly. Participants must not attempt to bypass security features, access unauthorised systems, or interfere with platform functionality. Any misuse of devices, networks, or learning platforms that compromises system integrity or data security may result in immediate disciplinary action.
- Reporting Misconduct and Concerns
Participants are encouraged to report any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, including harassment, discrimination, academic misconduct, or security concerns. Reports may be made confidentially to trainers, programme administrators, or LPS Academy management. All reports will be handled seriously and, where possible, discreetly, in accordance with applicable policies and laws.
- Disciplinary Actions and Enforcement
LPS Academy reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary action for breaches of this Code of Conduct. Actions may include verbal warnings, removal from a session, suspension from the programme, termination of enrolment, withholding of certificates, or permanent exclusion from future programmes. Serious misconduct may be reported to sponsoring organisations or relevant authorities where required.
- Non-Retaliation Commitment
LPS Academy does not tolerate retaliation against any individual who, in good faith, reports misconduct or participates in an investigation. Any form of retaliation will be treated as a serious violation of this Code.
- Acknowledgement and Compliance
By enrolling in or participating in any LPS Academy classroom or virtual training programme, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary measures as outlined above.
