Virtual learning refers to live, instructor-led training delivered online through approved virtual classroom platforms integrated with the LMS. Learners participate in real time, interact with trainers, join discussions, complete activities, and have attendance recorded. This format combines the structure of classroom training with the flexibility of remote access, while maintaining learning outcomes, assessment standards, and audit-ready records.
Before the session, you will receive a joining link via email and/or your LMS dashboard. Log in early to test your audio and video settings. Access is restricted to enrolled participants, and links should not be shared. If you cannot locate the link, contact Virtual Learning Support before the session begins.
A stable internet connection, updated browser, microphone, and speakers or headset are required. A webcam is strongly recommended for engagement and attendance verification. Learners should avoid public or unstable networks to reduce disruptions. Using a desktop or laptop is preferred over mobile devices for optimal interaction.
Learners are advised to log in at least 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This allows time to test audio, video, and connectivity. Late arrivals may affect attendance recording and participation eligibility, especially for compliance-based programmes.
Attendance is recorded through session login data, duration of participation, and engagement indicators. Some programmes require full attendance or minimum participation time to be considered present. Attendance records are stored in the LMS for reporting, certification, and audit purposes.
Late entry may be recorded in the attendance log. Depending on course rules, excessive lateness may affect completion status or certification eligibility. Learners should inform the trainer or support team if unavoidable delays occur.
Check your device settings, reconnect to the session, or switch devices if necessary. Use the chat function to inform the trainer of technical issues. If problems persist, contact Virtual Learning Support with details of the issue encountered.
Mobile devices are supported for viewing and basic participation. However, desktops or laptops are strongly recommended for better stability, visibility, and interaction, especially during activities, breakout sessions, or assessments.
Session recordings may be provided depending on course policy and approval. Not all sessions are recorded due to confidentiality, data protection, or instructional design considerations. Availability of recordings will be communicated after the session where applicable.
Missed sessions may affect attendance requirements. In some cases, recordings or make-up sessions may be offered, subject to course policy. Learners should notify Student Support or Training Operations as soon as possible if they cannot attend.
Breakout rooms are used for group discussions or activities. Learners are assigned automatically or manually by the trainer. Participation in breakout rooms contributes to engagement and learning outcomes and may be monitored for attendance purposes.
Questions may be asked using the chat function, Q&A panel, or verbally when invited by the trainer. Learners should follow session etiquette and wait for appropriate opportunities to speak.
Learners should join on time, mute microphones when not speaking, use professional language, and maintain respectful conduct. Video participation may be required in some programmes. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the session.
Yes. Trainers can view participant lists, engagement indicators, and activity responses. Active participation supports learning effectiveness and may be required for attendance validation.
Some courses include live assessments, polls, or activities during sessions. Instructions will be provided by the trainer. Learners must follow guidelines carefully to ensure submissions are recorded correctly.
If a session is disrupted, trainers will coordinate with Training Operations to determine next steps. This may include rescheduling, extend sessions, or providing supplementary materials, depending on the severity and duration of the disruption.
Post-session materials such as slides, recordings, or supplementary resources may be uploaded to the LMS. Availability depends on course design and intellectual property considerations.
Certification is issued only after attendance and assessment requirements are met. Participation in virtual sessions is a key component of eligibility for certificates in live online programmes.
Yes. Virtual learning is designed to meet compliance, documentation, and audit requirements when delivered according to approved procedures. Attendance logs and records are maintained accordingly.
For issues related to live online sessions, contact Virtual Learning Support or submit a help ticket via the LMS, providing session details and a clear description of the problem.
