Effective Anger Management Techniques (EB006) focuses on helping individuals understand and regulate one of the most powerful human emotions—anger. As highlighted in the course, anger is a natural and instinctive response often triggered by perceived threats, frustration, or unmet expectations. However, when left unmanaged, it can negatively impact relationships, decision-making, and overall well-being.
This programme introduces learners to the anger cycle, which includes phases such as trigger, escalation, crisis, recovery, and reflection. Understanding this cycle enables individuals to recognise early warning signs and intervene before anger escalates. The course also explores different anger styles, including aggressive, passive, passive-aggressive, and assertive behaviours, helping learners identify their own patterns and adopt healthier responses.
In addition, learners will develop practical skills to manage anger effectively. These include recognising physical and emotional signs, using coping thoughts, applying relaxation techniques, and adopting the Triple A Approach (Alter, Avoid, Accept). The course also emphasises communication strategies such as using “I-messages” and separating people from problems to ensure constructive conflict resolution.
By the end of the programme, learners will be equipped with practical tools to control their emotions, respond calmly under pressure, and build stronger, more professional relationships in both personal and workplace environments.
