- Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the LPS Academy website, Learning Management System (LMS), digital learning platforms, online and virtual classrooms, face-to-face training services, digital publications, and all related educational services provided by LPS Academy. By accessing the platform, registering for an account, enrolling in a course, or using any service offered by LPS Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the platform and services. These Terms apply to all users, including learners, trainers, instructors, administrators, corporate clients, and organisational representatives.
- About LPS Academy and Scope of Services
LPS Academy is a professional education and training provider delivering structured learning programmes through self-paced e-learning, live virtual instruction, classroom-based training, blended learning models, curriculum development services, professional certification programmes, and digital learning resources. The platform supports learners from public sector agencies, private sector organisations, and individual professionals locally and internationally. The scope of services may evolve over time, and LPS Academy reserves the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any service or feature without prior notice.
- Eligibility and User Responsibility
Access to the platform is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age or who have obtained appropriate parental, organisational, or legal consent. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the platform complies with applicable laws, organisational policies, and professional codes of conduct. When creating an account, users must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Users are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities conducted under their account. Any unauthorised use of an account must be reported immediately to LPS Academy.
- Account Registration, Security, and Access Control
Certain services require account registration and authentication. LPS Academy reserves the right to approve, suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at its discretion, particularly where false information, impersonation, misuse, or security risks are identified. Users may not share, sell, transfer, or allow third parties to use their accounts. Access to courses, assessments, certificates, and learning records is strictly tied to the registered user unless otherwise contractually agreed for corporate or institutional programmes.
- Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
Users agree to use the platform strictly for lawful, ethical, and educational purposes. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to, copying or distributing course materials without permission, recording training sessions without authorisation, engaging in harassment or abusive behaviour, uploading malicious software, attempting unauthorised system access, misrepresenting identity or qualifications, or interfering with platform operations. Any behaviour that disrupts learning, compromises security, or damages the reputation of LPS Academy may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without refund.
- Course Enrolment, Participation, and Access Duration
Course enrolment is subject to availability, eligibility requirements, and payment confirmation where applicable. Access to learning materials may be time-bound, cohort-based, subscription-based, or restricted to a specific training period, as stated in the course description. LPS Academy reserves the right to adjust schedules, trainers, delivery modes, or course content when necessary to maintain quality or due to operational constraints. Failure to access or complete a course within the stipulated period does not entitle the user to extensions or refunds unless explicitly stated.
- Fees, Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
All course fees, where applicable, are clearly stated and must be paid in full according to the specified payment terms. Payments may be processed through approved online gateways, invoicing arrangements, or organisational billing agreements. Refunds, cancellations, postponements, or course transfers are governed by LPS Academy’s Refund and Cancellation Policy, which varies depending on course type. Generally, no refunds are provided for accessed digital content, completed courses, or terminations resulting from policy violations. Any approved refunds are processed according to stated timelines and conditions.
- Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
All content provided through the platform, including training materials, videos, presentations, assessments, frameworks, methodologies, branding elements, and digital resources, remains the intellectual property of LPS Academy or its licensors. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access content solely for personal or authorised organisational learning. Reproduction, modification, distribution, resale, or commercial exploitation of any content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
- Trainer-Led Sessions, Virtual Classes, and Classroom Conduct
For live virtual or physical classroom sessions, users are expected to maintain professional behaviour, comply with trainer instructions, and adhere to session rules. Recording, photographing, or broadcasting sessions without written authorisation is prohibited. LPS Academy reserves the right to remove participants whose behaviour is disruptive, unethical, or contrary to professional learning standards, without obligation to provide refunds or make-up sessions.
- Assessments, Certification, and Learning Outcomes
Assessments, attendance requirements, and participation standards must be met to qualify for course completion or certification. Certificates issued by LPS Academy confirm participation or competency as defined by the course and do not guarantee employment, promotion, licensing, or regulatory recognition unless explicitly stated. Assessment decisions are final unless an appeal mechanism is formally provided. LPS Academy reserves the right to withhold certification in cases of misconduct, plagiarism, or non-compliance.
- User-Generated Content and Submissions
Where users submit assignments, discussion posts, feedback, or other materials, they retain ownership of their original content while granting LPS Academy a non-exclusive right to use such content for training delivery, evaluation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Users must ensure that submitted content does not infringe third-party rights, breach confidentiality, or violate laws or professional standards.
- Data Protection, Privacy, and Confidentiality
LPS Academy collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Data is used for account management, course delivery, certification, communication, and quality improvement. Users consent to such processing by using the platform. LPS Academy takes reasonable measures to safeguard personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Platform Availability, Technology, and Limitations
While LPS Academy endeavours to maintain reliable platform access, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Temporary disruptions may occur due to maintenance, upgrades, system failures, or third-party service issues. LPS Academy is not responsible for connectivity issues, device incompatibility, or user-side technical limitations. Users are responsible for ensuring suitable hardware, software, and internet access.
- Disclaimers and No Professional Advice
All training content is provided for educational and professional development purposes only. While efforts are made to ensure accuracy and relevance, LPS Academy does not warrant that content is free from errors or suitable for all purposes. Training materials do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or professional advice unless explicitly stated, and users are responsible for applying knowledge appropriately within their professional context.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LPS Academy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the platform or services. This includes loss of data, business opportunities, or professional outcomes. Total liability, if any, shall be limited to the fees paid for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim.
- Suspension, Termination, and Enforcement
LPS Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate user access without notice where these Terms are breached, misuse is detected, or legal or regulatory obligations require action. Termination does not affect accrued rights, outstanding fees, or intellectual property protections. LPS Academy may pursue legal remedies where necessary.
- Amendments and Updates
These Terms may be updated periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. Updated Terms will be published on the platform, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes arising from use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

For questions, clarifications, or concerns regarding these Terms, users may contact LPS Academy via email at support@lps.edu.sg or through official communication channels published on the website.
- Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the user and LPS Academy regarding platform use and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.
