Adult Learning – Practical & Physical Skills (EB005) is designed to develop hands-on capabilities by focusing on the psychomotor domain, which emphasises action, movement, and physical skill mastery. As highlighted in the course, learning is not limited to knowledge and understanding; it also involves the ability to perform tasks effectively through practice and repetition.
This programme introduces learners to structured stages of psychomotor development, beginning with observation and imitation, and progressing through manipulation and precision, before reaching higher levels such as articulation and naturalization. Each stage builds upon the previous one, allowing learners to gradually develop competence and confidence in performing physical tasks.
In addition, the course explores different psychomotor learning models, including those developed by Simpson, Dave, and Harrow, providing a broader understanding of how physical skills can be taught and assessed. Learners will also gain insight into performance measurement techniques such as agility, speed, endurance, and precision, which are essential for evaluating skill development.
The programme emphasises practical application, encouraging learners to engage in hands-on activities, guided practice, and independent execution. By understanding how physical skills are developed and refined, learners will be better equipped to enhance training effectiveness, improve workplace performance, and achieve mastery in practical skill-based environments.
